| I think I'll work on a list of favorite praise songs (in no particular order). These will be pretty old songs, so they won't include songs like Mighty to Save, because they need to stand the test of time (which really means, a couple of years). Some songs fall short for one reason or another; they are listed under tainted favorites.
Favorites: - Now That You're Near - Mourning Into Dancing - Create In Me a Clean Heart: my all-time favorite
Tainted favorites: - Hosanna: Brooke Fraser version. I OD'ed on the instrumental one summer. - What the World Will Never Take: Once again OD'ed on the instrumental. Retreat songs are destined to end up on this list. - Marvelous Light: Love singing it, but what's up with that bridge? - I'm Not Ashamed: Love it. Can't sing the verse. - From the Inside Out: Great in theory, not so great in practice. It almost qualifies as a favorite, only I enjoy hearing it more than playing it.
What are your favorite praise songs of all time? Any tainted favorites?

| It's taking me a long time to figure out what computer to get. I'm now deciding between a Macbook for $1100, Dell Studio XPS 13 for $1100, and a Vostro 220 Mini Tower desktop for $740. The desktop below has lots more features, but it's not portable (which isn't a huge need for me, I guess). With the money I save, I could get a netbook or iPod touch for portable internet access.

What do you think of AMD processors? 32 or 64 bit Vista? Slot load DVD worth the extra $? Do I need bluetooth? Backlit keyboard worth it? 6 or 9 cell battery? |

| my laptop is 5 years old! it only has 25 gb on its hard drive. last night it only had 188 mb left. i had to delete starcraft and a bunch of other programs and ruckus mp3s to get back over 1gb. i think it's time for a new laptop. (i could just transfer old photos onto my external hd (160gb) and upload them online if i ever wanted them).
what do you think of a netbook (those 2-3lb 8-10" laptops)? they cost about $300-500. if i have money left over, i could get a desktop to replace any power that i would lose out on with a netbook for about the same price, right? or, get a powerful desktop and an ipod touch? $1000 for 3 years worth of personal computing sound good?
cnet says the hp 2140 is the best netbook.

| saw a dude with a long quilted black down jacket with feathery fluff around the neck this morning. it matched his girlfriend's long quilted white down jacket. he was also carrying a large pink handbag. under usual circumstances i would assume it was hers, but i just couldn't be sure.
i love waking the kids up after nap. rosy cheeks. tussled hair. post-nap gas. |
