Can't decide

It's taking me a long time to figure out what computer to get.  I'm now deciding between a Macbook for $1100, Dell Studio XPS 13 for $1100, and a Vostro 220 Mini Tower desktop for $740.  The desktop below has lots more features, but it's not portable (which isn't a huge need for me, I guess).  With the money I save, I could get a netbook or iPod touch for portable internet access.

Not to complicate things further... but if you're considering that minitower, I'd also consider an iMac. It'd be more convenient/portable (all-in-one, decent speakers and nice display). It'd be in the same rough price range (~$1000), especially if you consider an Apple Certified refurbished system.

If you are trying to save money, I would definitely also take a look at refurbished and open box systems, which usually have a high discounted price.
